This is a wonderfully dramatic image due to the contrast between the subject and the landscape. I think this image would benefit from a shift in the framing, bringing the dog more into the left of the frame using the rule of thirds, and seeing a little more of the landscape to the right. I also think that some lightening of the landscape to reveal a few more details would create more interest overall yet not compromise the dramatic contrast you are after. Nicely done!
