Flower Photo Competition 4 2020 : Entry Number 77

Judges Comment

In this image we like the dreamy quality, with misty earthy light as a backdrop. In this case it is not about one flower, here we have an entire group of flowers! The out of focus background creates a nice story within this photograph.

Hi! I'm Randy Kroll from Salt Lake City, Utah. Thank you for choosing this photo as a finalist! I have always loved the look and contrast of Thistle for it's truly wild and brutal beauty and how their appearance evolves through it's life cycle. They are hated by most but loved by wasps and bees for their nectar. If you happen to love Thistle, then you know like I do, it is from a distance. Photographed with a Canon 6D and 70-200 lens.
