Beautiful and exotic, how the photographer of this image chose showing this tulip. This flower is past its prime days, and this is what gives this photo great atmosphere and a sense of decay. The dark background makes the observer focus on the actual flower, no unnecessary distraction here.

Thanks so much for the selection - much appreciated! I was in the back yard of a friend's vacant house which had minimal landscaping done other than cut grass. This lone beauty was still standing tall albeit on it's last legs - nothing else around it! I begged for forgiveness later (haha!) but plucked this gem to take home with me!
