So delicate, the textures, the colours and also the green leaves. The I-Shot-It team has not come across of many photos of this kind of flower. We appreciate this photo very much!

Much thanks for the recognition! My name is Fon, and I live in North Carolina. I have been a photographer for nearly 40 years. I shoot portraits and headshots, as well as events like concerts, horse shows, and sports. I also love wildlife and nature, and on this day I was in a local park looking for birds. I was shooting with my Nikon D7500 and 200-500mm lens. Not what I would normally shoot flowers with, but, the Mimosa, is a tree. Also known as the Persian Silk Tree, it is an imported decorative, that has come to be considered invasive, because it is highly adaptable and easily spread. Still, I find them beautiful and fascinating. The smell is wonderfully sweet, and the beautiful green leaves actually fold up at night. I took this shot of a branch caught in a ray of light, at 500mm using a monopod, ISO 400, 1/200, at f/10.
