Painterly in feel and quality, this image also imparts a peaceful feel to it but in a more fantastical way. The choice to put the subject directly in the center of the frame also contributes to the feeling of stillness and also one of emptiness. Nicely done! Would a tighter crop change the concept and feeling?

Thanks. This image was shot in the Alcazar palace in Sevilla (Spain), in April 2016, using a Fujifilm x100t camera. Some spanish women would come wearing a traditional sevillan dress to get photographed in the palace. This woman is posing for her husband who is hidden by the wall on the right side of the picture. I did try to tighten the frame more but it did not work for me, I preferred the original framing giving this kind of small ceramic doll appearance as if in a miniature. By the way, congrats to the winner, very good first choice, I like it very much too.
