On the first glance, this image can be read as two images. It’s the moment in a movie where they cut from one scene to another to show what two sets of characters are doing at the same time – except that it’s all put together in one shot. This piques the viewer’s curiosity and encourages them to go beyond seeing this as a normal street scene and imagine a story.
