Judges Comment

This is rightly a famous view and it has been photographed very often but you have succeeded in creating a lovely original pastel effect with this very long “big stopper“ style exposure, flattening out the waves and softening the moving clouds. Perhaps more foreground cliff and less sky would have been even better :-)

After several days of rain finally got to witness a beautiful sunset at Neist Point Lighthouse and I could take this picture at dusk. The image was made in mid-August of last summer on the island of Skye in Scotland with the use of a tripod and ND filter, wait a few minutes was enough to make this characteristic shot. Nikon D600
