Flower Photo Competition 2 2015 : Entry Number 164

Well composed and executed is this lovely image of three roses. Seeing the sharp edges of the petals is truly superb.

Hi all, my name is Vicki Dillon from Missouri, USA, and I am honored to receive a 'Mark of Excellence'. This picture was taken with the use of my Cannon Rebel XT. I utilized the crepe paper they wrap around the flowers as the red backdrop with an easel holding it loosely, so as to let it have a rough textured look, and just a flashlight with all other lights out in the room. They say it takes many shots to get the desired 'one' and I found this to be true. I tried many different compositions, of these 3 roses, before finding what I was looking for.
