My name is Colin Johnson and I am a street photographer based in San Francisco, California. I am honored to receive this award in recognition of my work - thank you! This image "Ashes to Ashes" was shot using a Sony A7 II camera with the Sony/Zeiss 16-35mm F4 lens both of which I was testing this day. The Mural is in Chinatown of San Francisco and the character seemed to be putting his arm around the woman as if to both reassure her, as well a guide her somewhere, while the ashes of his cigarette somehow blended in with her sweater...
