I'm Kamran Meyer, an amateur photographer from San Francisco; this image was shot with a Nkon D5100 and a Nikkor 55-300mm lens. Thanks so much for the mark of excellence! This image was shot in Pismo Beach, California during a recent drive from San Francisco to Los Angeles. As we were leaving, I noticed this woman trying desperately to photograph this girl with her smartphone. Lucky for me, the girl was the curious type and focused her attention on my camera instead of the one that was 10 inches from her face. I think it made for a comical moment that is reflective of a world where cameras have become common enough to be ignored.
