Flower Photo Competition 3 2012 : Entry Number 17

A great example how something can be changed and look like something else. How a flower becomes fire. Not obvious at all, that this photo has been taken of a flower. It needs a lot of imagination and it looks great how it is.

My name is GiGi Peek and I trully enjoy macro photography. It is elegant, aesthetic, simple but complex at the same time!

This image has been taken at Dahlia Festival in Canby, Oregon. Shot with Nikon D800, 105 mm f /2.8 lens and lightly prossesed in Lightroom. It has been cropped but not altered in any other way.

The effect of the fire was created by moving camera while shooting.
