oh man, i love this. i love the muted tones and the almost high-key nature of this image. the framing is lovely, and the minimalism of the scenery and the surrounding ripples brings the focus on the dog and even on the two bubbles floating in his reflection. i wish there was a little more sharpness in the dog's face, but i realize it may have been lost to motion blur as the dog is about to shake. beautiful image. ~ illona

This is my baby girl, Kerouac, in our favorite place... the only place where she can run off leash without fences reminding her that she is not always free to really run. It is a place where the mouth of the Skagit River meets the salty waters of the ocean. As a professional photographer, this is a moment I live for. With dogs, it is only ever just a moment, for they are always gone and onto the next thing before you know it.
