I'm honored that this black and white treatment of my cat Snickers surveying his surroundings from a dogwood tree branch won third prize in this competition! This photo was taken in my yard in Virginia using a Pentax K-r and Pentax DA L 55-300 lens. I shoot RAW and used Lightroom to convert the shot to black and white.
