Child Photo Competition 2014 No 2 Results
Congratulations to the winner of the child photo competition from Germany who has won $510.00 and a Leica C worth $700. The child photo competition always attracts a high standard of photography. It's impossible to pin down what make a great shot, but the judge Lisa Alessandra Kutzelnig has managed to pin down 20 winning shots. Well done to all who made it into the top 20. There were 255 entries. Thank you to everyone who entered a photo.
A number of of the winning photos show that the child is aware of the photographer. There is nothing wrong with this, but often great shots can come from taking candid photos. In other words, showing children interacting or immersed in an activity and unaware that they are having their photo taken. For example, you could have children chasing bubbles, playing in a steam, or on the swings. These are just some ideas. Please remember to ask the parents for permission if you wish to take photos of someone else's children.
